Last week we had the pleasure (yes Carrie, it really was a pleasure) of having Mya and Faye spend the evening with us. It was a perfect summer evening and the kids really enjoyed each other and the night. Lots of playing outside, glow sticks, neighborhood kids and a few treats. And the most exciting…going outside after dark in their dreammies to see if the glow in the dark chalk really worked. Sadly, it did not. But it was a nice excuse to do some star gazing and just to be kids outside at dark on a warm summer evening.
A look of utter confusion as I am pointing out the ‘metal bird in the sky’. It took her a few minutes to figure out I meant a plane (it was pretty high). She thought it was hilarious after that. :) I love a kid that can get my bad jokes!
We thought maybe dreammies, a dark room and a movie might slow these young tykes down. 11:15 and they were all still awake. Ooops.
Babaysitter fail! :)
But they all had a fun time!
