It’s FINALLY that time of year!

We went to the cemetery over the weekend because the daffodils finally bloomed.  Yay! Finally!  They were beautiful.  With a little coaxing Alec agreed to take the usual pictures. I am not ready for this tradition to end. I hope he’s ready for many more years of this!

 

 

We were lucky enough as we were walking through the cemetery to have a man stop and chat with us. His summer job 55 years ago was to plant the bulbs. He had so many stories to tell. It was pretty neat!

And today, Monday, when Alec and I drove through after school- there were even more blooming.  Alec was pretty thankful I didn’t have the camera with me!

Spring is finally here!

Happy Easter!

The day before Easter asked if we could go see the Easter bunny. Gahhhh…..really? The day before Easter? UGH. But we went. The Easter bunny at the mall is mean. You have to buy their picture of the bunny or no picture with the bunny. So Alec waited in a 15 minute line to give the bunny a high five. He seemed satisfied.

Alec was so happy to have Katie and friends here for Easter. It made the egg hunt so much more fun. They are going to have to come back every year!
