Seems like we visit the park a lot huh? Cause umm….we do. Why? It’s just easy. That’s why. Last Saturday Noni and Moxie accompanied Alec and I on a walk through the woods and to the pond. Alec loved having a dog by his side as they went exploring.
This boy needs a dog! :)
When we were having our beautiful weather last week- we met up with McKenna and her mom after school one day for some playtime at the beach. We hit it right at low tide. It was good critter hunting. McKenna had the unfortunate experience of slipping on the rocks and cutting her leg with barnacles. Ouch!
Good times.
I had the opportunity to be a chaperone on Alec’s class field trip to the planetarium last week. It was quite an experience!

We got in and got settled. They had oversold it so we had to break up into groups. The room was dark..lights were flashing…and then….the fire alarms went off and we had to evacuate. The kids were calm but FREAKED OUT all at the same time.
Lucky for us it was a beautiful day and we got to enjoy a little sunshine until we got the all clear to go back in the building. The kids were excellent and settled back in to watch the ABC’s of of Outer Space with little angst. After the show we plopped down on the grass for a little lunch picnic.
It was a fun afternoon and I feel pretty lucky that I got a chance to go and spend some time with these cute kiddos.
We gave the children a camera for them to capture their day except when there was copious amounts of sand nearby then it was off-limits. Here is some of what they saw…
