We realized the other day that Alec had not been to a Sea Dogs game since he was 1. Oh the horror! :) This is really no big crisis as we are not huge baseball fans, however, we did happen to have 4 ticket vouchers kicken’ around the house from the Sea Dogs road races and it would have been a horror to waste them. We checked their schedule and we were mildly surprised to find they only had 1 or 2 home games left this season. Guess it was time to cash those puppies in. A little arranging of schedules and a call to our favorite adventure family (the Todd’s)and the plan was in motion.
According the the sign in the picture below they played Harrisburg. Seriously- until I just read that a couple minutes ago- I had no idea what team they even played.
Why?
Because going to a baseball game isn’t just about this…..
or this…
or this….Seriously? It does look they are being tortured to watch the game in the picture below doesn’t it?
Going to a baseball game is also about…Sea Dog Biscuits .( I just love this picture. )
And maybe a beer. :)
And we let them have some french fries…
As the game played on..score? what score? We chatted and the kids fooled around and ate a ton of crap. But Alec, having had a busy day started to zone out. We were excellent parents of course and forced him to stay at the game..although he never really asked to leave…he just sat. Lucky for us the lady behind us had an iPad which kept her and then eventually her four year old and then our kids happily entertained until the end of the game. Thanks lady!
We were waiting until the end not because we cared who won. Who did win anyway? We stayed to the of the game for this….
Another fun thing checked off on our summer list. Too bad the list is so long and summer is so short.
