Another Irene update

Ummmm……wind.

I don’t do sitting around the house well. Maybe you might have guessed this. I do better in a blizzard but in the summer…sitting in the house waiting for the storm to pass just seems like a colossal waste of time. Yes- I could clean, do laundry and what-have- you but I just don’t wanna. It’s summer…we should be out and about.We were suppose to go to Ogunquit today to see Pippi Longstocking but they cancelled the show so we have passed the time as best as we can. We did the trip to the beach and hit the grocery store on the way home which, by the way, was bliss because there was absolutely no one there. Thank you Irene for that nugget.  Once home…we have played and played and played. I have had my blood pressure taken quite a few time and thankfully I am still alive.  The Super-Why wand usually helps me feel better too.

The walkie-talkies have kept them entertained for hours while playing hide and seek. Alec usually hides behind the tan chair in the living room while we are sitting there. Erik yells “o.k. hide” and Alec bolts there.  The hide of hide and seek seems to be lost on him!

There have been many emergency’s today in our house.  Here they are shooting the aliens that are all around me with their Fisher Price electronics.  I had no idea I was in such danger.

We (I) watched A LOT of the Food Network.

And now I am about to be arrested as I am a bad guy. Wow.  With handcuffs.
