On Monday we hit Fort Knox on our way home from Old Town which was very cool because I haven’t been there in 30 years (?) , Erik and Alec have never been there AND we didn’t have to take the highway home! Yeah!
We roped Julie and Colin into coming with us. They had just visited the week before so they had the layout down and acted as wonderful tour guides and we stumbled around listening to Alec ask a million questions. Typical. The weather was not promising when we left Debbie’s house but as the morning progressed the clouds lifted and the sun peaked through. It was perfect weather for exploring.
After we explored ‘Castle Knox’ as Alec called it – we rambled over to the observatory tower bridge thing. Details.
You step off the elevator and there is a moment of vertigo. Once you gather your wits about you…WOW! What a view!
