New Years Eve

We were lucky enough that my dad came back with us from New York to stay for a little while. We got even luckier when Katie decided to come visit for a couple days too. I love company!

On New Years Eve day we all decided to go ice skating. Well, Katie, Alec and I skated. My dad wanted to but I wouldn’t let him. I was too afraid he would fall. I am not sure he appreciated my feeling but he went along with it.

This was the second time Katie had ever been on ice skates. It was entertaining. She and Alec progressed from cones to no cones. To get Alec to give it up – we would push it ahead and have him shuffle to it. They both seemed to enjoy themselves. I thought it was a really fun time watching them.

In the evening we decided to to Old Orchard Beach for their family friendly New Years Eve party on the beach. Bonfire, DJ, & fireworks and over by 8PM! Smile

The had tents set up selling cotton candy on glow in the dark sticks, hot chocolate, and kettle corn. We didn’t bring any money so we didn’t participate in any of that.
