Time for the annual gingerbread house decorating event. Grandpoohpa decided to join in the fun this year too. I am so thankful that the rec department offers this – I just really appreciate the fact we can walk in and everything is ready for us- you leave with a house and no clean up! They make it so easy!
We were all very involved in the making of this MMC house (Alec is a creature of habit). We each had a job. Of course. This is serious business and each year we learn some new tricks of the trades.The key is icing. LOTS of icing.
The funniest part is that we brought it home in the trunk of our van. And forgot about it. For an entire week. No joke. Alec goes to rec 1 day a week to play with friends and I picked him up the other day and a councilor (who had been working that night) asked if any was left. Alec and I just looked at each other with our jaws hanging open. We had totally and completely forgotten about it for 7 days.
Oooops.
