Friday Phone Pics

Recap of the past week.  It was a busy one.

I think we covered the Lego thing right? It was a great experience for him. We (he) can’t wait to do it again.

   

Easter. I don’t think I blogged about it. Maybe I will. But here are a few pictures for now. Cute kids, huh?

        

A little work-out recap- long story about why I took pictures of it.  However, here is the story around the workout. I tried to do in a month what some folks do in a day. I tried to do an Ironman March. As in swim 2.4 miles, bike (or with our weather spin) 112 miles and run 26.2 miles. I was unsuccessful- I swam about 3,000 yards-biked 114 and ran (walked) 21.  The month started rough with a pretty bad cold and, well, I am pretty out of shape so the running mileage is pretty low cause it just takes me so long to get it done. There just isn’t enough time. So we’ll try again for April.

We had a visit from Katie on her way back to college. Alec soaked up every ounce of snuggle time he could with her.

   

Katie left before he woke up the next morning and he was so sad. He went into the spare bedroom and drew the hearts,x & O’s to show her how much he loves her.

While Katie was here we were scrolling through Netflix and came up with the following category: I had no idea that  Fruits, Veggie and Fungi could star in movies!

I took a picture of my lunch one day at work. I got some dumplings and spicy shrimp rolls. The last time I had rolls was with Carrie and so I took a pic and texted to her – I don’t think she was happy with me. I just wanted her to know it was lonely eating rolls without her. :)

The view from the treadmill. Movie of choice: Toy Story 3.  To infinity and beyond….  Funny story- Alec use to think the “beyond” came after infinity when counting. It was painful for while we hashed it over and over.

As always, there was a crisis and all the living room and some of the emergency vehicles had to come out.

A funny story about this picture. It was taken at 6:45 Thursday morning.  For about a week before this- Erik was bugging me to order oil to be delivered. I finally did and it came on Wednesday. Thursday morning I started my shower and the water was cold. Very cold and not getting warm.  The tile floor was cold. I looked at all the thermostats – it was 61 in Alec’s room, 60 in the living room and 59 in our bedroom. Hmmmm. Guess the oil came about an hour too late. I remember hearing the furnace click on in the afternoon and we got the oil delivered in late afternoon. Errhhhhh!

Debbie came for a visit- we had planned this for weeks. I never looked at Alec’s school calendar. Bummer. Random day off from school. Ugh. For the record, 5 year old boys do not like to go shopping.  At all.  We made him anyway.

And the rooster picture? That is for Pam- she knows why.
