How many of my blog posts do you think exist because of this special little place? I am thinking quite a few! It is just so easy to be there. I think a lot of local people take it for granted assuming that everyone has a state park with wooded paths, ponds and ocean access in their back yard. I feel lucky. Like I felt lucky living in Old Town where there was no hunting so you could go in the woods anytime. Never had to think about those pesky hunters until I moved away.
In case you can’t tell where this is leading….we went there the other day. :) Really…you didn’t get that foreshadowing? (ha!) We met up with Hilly, babyP, Noelle and Ben. Surprised aren’t you? Cause my Friday phone pics from last week didn’t give it away, right?
Paulina inherited her parents photogenic abilities. No bad pictures of this baby anywhere.
Alec had the backpack because he was, of course, a nature rescuer and had to have his supplies (first aid, snacks, gloves, glasses, a notebook & pens).
Love, love, love kiddos running through the woods.
We hit the pond..
Pants were ditched for a little wading fun.
Back on the trails….
We had to stop to investigate things….
Nothing like 2 hours in the woods to get these kids to bed early!
