Everything in Alec’s life has a place.
Everyone in Alec’s life has a place.
He tries to make sure that everyone and everything in his life knows their proper place. In case you don’t- he labels it for you.
He labeled this bathroom back in 2011. He didn’t know how to spell ladies and he wanted to make sure my mom (and I used this bathroom). I just noticed this was still up the other day.
To offset the ladies room a men’s room. Dad=men in his world in 2011. Reserved for Alec, my dad and Erik. Yep- it’s still on our wall. At this point I can’t find a reason to take it down.
Not sure why he felt the need to label the litter box. Clearly it is no one else’s but our sweet little Shania’s.
How can you not love the backward S?
Love Love love.
We each have a chair labeled for us. We do not sit in our labeled chairs. We do not even look at them. On any given day I do not even notice them.
And I have yet to take them down.
And now he has labeled the birds. I guess in case they need to know their names.
I can’t seem to take any of these signs down.
Not only does Alec leave his mark on my heart – he leaves so many marks on our house.
I am hopeless to get rid of them.
I look at them and they are signs of his childhood, his silliness, his creativeness, his Alecness.
They are signs that a child lives in this house and we are thrilled by this.
