A little 5K

Erik signed up for the local 5k months ago to benefit the community center. It seemed like a good idea at time. By the time it finally rolled around – it was chillier and he really wasn’t sure he was so into it. Alec was signed up for the kids run and really wanted to do it so off we went.  This was a totally small affair. No mile markers- no water stations.

Being so small- pick up was a breeze.

A little pre-race stretching.

The kids line up:

And the grown up race:

This is what we did while the race was happening:

And before we knew it they were back…10th for Erik.

They put on a pretty decent spread for the awards.

And the t-shirts. Erik’s comment was “where’s my shirt? I only run these things so I can get the shirt”. As if he needs another t-shirt in his life!

Another for his collection!
