Not with this outfit you don’t!
While at the Todd house Saturday evening, Alec geared up in the protective bee suit and went with Todd dad to visit their hives. Alec, who we all know loves all things science, soaked up every ounce of information that Heath provided on the bee keeping topic. Alec loved every second of it. I wish I had videoed him bounding through the backyard. He was so excited that his feet were coming off the ground and he looked like he was an astronaut in space. Mya and Faye were helpful getting Alec all geared up and waited patiently from afar while Alec went down near the bees.
Alec didn’t say much after his meeting with the bees (per usual) but the next morning he woke up talking about bees and over breakfast he explained to me why they needed the smoke, how hard it is hard to find the Queen (but she is there), why they don’t want to sting you etc, etc, etc. He has a whole new appreciation for bees.
