While the father’s away

The mom and son will play. And work. And go to school. And swimming lessons. And gymnastics class. And homework. Yep – we spent a half hour on PreK homework. What the heck?

For some excitement we did go to Old Town the 1st weekend Erik was away. Can you believe I never took my camera out of my car? Me either.  It was a fun weekend. We did so much visiting. We drove out to Julie’s and she and I chatted and Alec played with the big kids. We went to Debbie’s and visited there. All the kids went to the pool to go swimming. It is pretty cool when your niece and nephew are old enough to drive your kiddo around and you can leave him with them and not worry (too much!).  Debbie and I went shopping and then she planned a little surprise for me. She arranged for Julie, Susan, Marion to meet up with us for dinner to celebrate my impending 40. Beyond an uncontrollable long wait for a table (2 hours) – it was a lovely evening. Thanks Deb!

On Sunday Alec and I went to Amy’s and visited with Amy and Amanda and all (5) the boys played.

Like I said – it was a great weekend visiting.

So much talking and being in the moment..no time for cameras!

Here are some shots of what Alec and I did do after dinner the other night.
