Another item on the bucket list was the Wiggly Bridge in York. It hit my radar last year but fell off for some reason. The Wiggly Bridge made the list for the simple reason is the worlds smallest pedestrian suspension bridge. I had a rough idea of how to get there and once I figured it out…it wasn’t too hard to find. The parents were troopers and thought this might be a fun adventure. Or they came cause I didn’t really give them a choice. Either way.

Doesn’t the weather looking amazingly perfect? It was!
Since we were on down in York we (or I) decided we would do a touristy tour around southern Maine. Our next stop? The Cliff Walk in Ogunquit. We found a parking spot easy (a good sign) and we were off. I remember doing this trail once before with Julie probably about 10 years ago. What I remember and what the reality is are two very different things. I remember a path that was narrow but maintained along the cliffs and mansions. What we partially did felt like we were taking a forgotten path that had not been maintained in 10 years and that we were trespassing on people’s property (we weren’t). The views however, were as I remembered..beautiful.
The cliff walk starts and ends on a beach. Alec was in heaven.

As always, it is a process to pull Alec away from the beach but somehow we lured him away and back into the car for our our next stop.
Nubble Light House.

At Nubble they have a lunch spot. We did the touristy thing and ate there. This is not something any of us would usually do so it was a special treat. We look thrilled in the picture below right? I am going with low blood sugar levels.
After lunch it was back in the car and a little more driving along scenic coastline until we reached Perkins Cove. The epitome of quaint.
How can you not love the pedestrian draw bridge? So very cool.
A walk on marginal way.
I don’t even know how to wrap this post up. It was a picture perfect day. After the walk on marginal way we were all pooped so we headed home. I think I yawned the entire drive up route 1.
