It’s been pretty quiet on the blog. There is nothing really new with us. Like any other family we’ve just been busy. It's just not blog worthy. I’m not complaining – life is good. Although I wouldn’t mind a fairy that could swoop in and put the clean clothes away. Folding them- not an issue. Getting them to their respective 'homes' ..too much trouble. We ate at the island several nights in a row because all the clean folded laundry took up the entire kitchen table and a few chairs.
In addition to the daily grind, we are getting ready for a little weekend adventure away (all 3 of us this time) and gearing up for some company (yeah!!!). October is going to fly by.
So, stay tuned. It might just get interesting again.
On that note- I’ll leave you with this little nugget.
On Monday Alec’s class had gone apple picking and the bag was left sitting on the counter (nothing new there)- he asked for a snack on Tuesday afternoon so I pulled an apple out and handed it to him. I turn around to do something and I hear Alec say (in a voice sounding a little too much like Joey on Friends):
“Well… hello…I haven’t seen YOU in a while”
I turn around to look at him…he meets my eyes and just shrugs his shoulders. And he takes a bite.
