Laudholm Farm –Wells-Part I

Last Friday we met up with the Todd’s for a walk around the park-it is a National Estuarine Research Reserve. I loved it there. I kept saying to Carrie over and over…”why haven’t I been here before?!”. It has many well marked trails..ocean views…ocean access and a learning center.

It was one of those days… the weather, the company, the setting.

It was simply fantastic.

I will now inundate you with most (some) of the pictures I (or Carrie) took. I hope they convey what a special day it was for Alec and I.

Bangor

Alec and took a day trip to Bangor a few weeks ago-it was a quick few hours. One of our stops was the Bangor Forest for walk in the woods with Julie and Alexis. We were going to walk through the Bog but it was closed until May.

And then we left.

Like I said….we were there for a few hours. :)

Gone Biking…

On Monday we took Alec for a bike ride along the Eastern Trail.  Portland Trails just upgraded the Saco portion and built a bridge over Rte 1 to make it easily accessible.  We did the portion from Hannaford to Thornton and then back –Alec decided that was not enough and we kept going on the other portion that goes north into Old Orchard Beach. We went a few miles on that side. Alec was a trooper and managed to ride pretty far for such small little legs.

Alec thought it was super cool to ride over the bridge and look down on all the cars. I have to admit that I thought it was pretty cool too. The weather was beautiful – the ride was excellent and spending time with my boys outside was the best. All that biking gave Alec lots of experience and I think we are ready to pull off those training wheels soon. Oh boy. My boy is growing up!

2 thumbs up!
