Horton Woods

We had the absolute best morning walking in the woods on Sunday. The trails were marked, mostly dry, the temperature was perfect and the sky was a cloudless blue. And the company?  Out of this world!  :)

 

With a free morning ahead of us- Alec and I made a date with some of our favorite peeps. Alec loves going for walks with his Auntie No-No and Moxie.  Noni and I do our best planning at the last minute.  (I know that really isn’t planning then is it?) I text her at 10:00PM and said “Horton Woods-never been”. She texted back  “K –see ya at 9”. And don’t ya know?  At  9:00 the next morning we headed out to Horton Woods in “North” Saco. I did the “” because I swear it isn’t north. It’s west. Really.   But the locals call it that…

As you look through the pictures you will notice a theme. Moxie and Alec were always ahead of us – and always running!

So very good for us – this walking in nature thing.

Good for the soul.

And we were happy.

Smiling Hill Farm

After a morning of sports (that did not wear Alec out) we decided on another adventure to kill some time while Erik is out of town.

A few hours at Smiling Hill Farm got us some fresh ice cream and a few hours of playing outside. 

What’s not to love about blue ice cream? :)

They opened up a new petting zoo area this year. We spent a lot of time in there checking out the animals and feeding them.

These were some lazy cows. I thought they only laid down when it was going to rain. These guys were just hanging out enjoying the sun!

They have speakers playing classical music for them too.

Good times on a beautiful day!

Alec’s Saturday of Sports

Ok. so he didn’t really participate in the spinning class –but I had to have him with me while I set up my bike for class because child care wasn’t open yet. He climbed on and was ready to rock’n’roll. And then I made him get off so I could drop him off….but not before he flirted with most of the ladies in the class. :)

After spinning was tball. But with Kiley it was more like tackle tball. :)

 

 

And then it was off to soccer.

  

And we were done by 1.

(This is not a typical Saturday).
